CRIME REPORTS: Hostile Caller Who Only Talks From Porsche, Panhandlers, Fireworks

Here are various crimes pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log.

At 3:10 p.m. Thursday, a disturbance call was made from the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. There was a transient male with suitcases at the 76 gas station asking customers for money. He was asked to leave the property. 

At 12:30 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance on the 1000 block of Calle Del Cerro. There was a woman pounding on a door and yelling for the person who lived there while holding her baby. 

At 11:19 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a family dispute on the 200 block of Avenida Montalvo. A man was arguing with his wife and was telling her to get out. Police were warned that the male owned several guns.

At 10:38 p.m.Wednesday, a caller reported a firework violation from the 600 block of Via Umbroso. The caller said there were several minors lighting fireworks from a hillside and was concerned the hill could catch on fire. Police made no further report. 

At 6:33 p.m. Wednesday, a hostile caller made a report of a man brandishing a weapon from the 200 block of Avenida Victoria. The man supposedly pulled a knife on him. The caller said he knows that man because he is always fishing and urinating off the pier. The informant oddly refused to speak with the police unless he was in his Porsche because the last time he spoke with police he was thrown on the ground and searched.

At 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Police responded to a disturbance on the 600 block of Camino Del Los Mares. The caller said a patient being verbally abusive in their doctor's office and refused to leave once the office closed for the day. 

At 5:03 p.m. Wednesday, A caller reported a suspicious person from the 500 block of Calle De Soto. The caller said they have seen the same person for two days now sitting in their care taking pictures with a high end camera. Police made no report of an arrest. 

At 4:39 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a illegal peddling call at the corner of Vera Cruz and Avenida Pico. Two subjects have been asking customers for gas money and stating they have just run out of fuel. Police said this has been repeating issue at this gas station. 

At 7:57 p.m. Tuesday, Police arrested a 64-year-old man from the 200 block of Avenida Vista Montana. The man was asked to leave his friend's house because he did not live there and was becoming verbally abusive. He is currently in custody with a bail amount to $10,000. 

At 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a disturbance on the 200 block of Santa Barbara. The informant heard a male threaten to kill a female and could also hear objects possibly being used as weapons. The informant also stated these people are known to smoke marijuana.
