CRIME REPORTS: Lewd person in panda suit, guns and concerned mothers

Here are various police reports pulled from the San Clemente dispatch logs from the past few days.

At 7:04 a.m. Tuesday morning, police responded to a suspicious person call from the 200 block of Avenida San Diego. A male with a history of meth use had been camping in the area for quite some time.

At 12:01 a.m.Tuesday night Police responded to a brandishing weapon call on the 3200 block of Avenida Del Presidente. A male caller said his neighbor was waving a gun around and threatening people. Police spoke with the man and there was no report of an arrest. 

At 10:34 p.m. Monday police received a report from a San Diego private investigator of a suspicious person on the cross streets of Calle Del Cerro and Avenida Vista Montana. The armed private investigator had detained a person who was running through traffic making obscene gestures in a panda suit. Police made no arrest.

At 7:34 p.m. Monday police responded to a drunk in public call on the 100 block of Avenida Del Poniente. The caller said a drunk man was talking to himself and continued to take a unknown type of alcohol from his back pack and then pour it into a cup. 

At 6:47 p.m. Monday police visited to the hospital in San Clemente to gather information regarding an assault report. Reports state 16-year-old girl was assaulted in a Sunday domestic dispute and suffered serious injuries including a broken nose and facial bruising. No further information was provided.

At 4:37 p.m. Monday police arrested a transient individual from the 3900 block of El Camino Real. The transient was yelling and screaming in front of the Carl’s Jr. at the south end of town. 

At 3:37 p.m. Monday police conducted a citizen assist on the first block of Calle Tejado. A mother wanted to speak with a police officer because he believed her daughter had been smoking with her boyfriend over the weekend and did not know what to do about it, according to the report.

At 9:23 p.m. Sunday police arrested a white 28 year old male from the Goody’s Tavern parking lot on the 200 block of El Camino Real.When police arrived, two bouncers had the combative male detained. He has since been cited and released from custody. 

At 3:31 a.m. Sunday police arrested a white 31 year old male at the Valero gas station on Avenida Palizada. The male was arguing with a female in front of a shop when police arrived. He has since been released from custody. 

At 10:21 p.m. Saturday a caller reported a disturbance on the 100 block of Avenida Pelayo. Police reported there had been a raging party all day long.
