CRIME REPORTS: Screaming Transient Chucks Beer

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log throughout the past few days.

At 2:47 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a trespasser in the 1500 block of El Camino Real. The report stated that a male had been habitually harassing customers at Calle De Los Molinos Certified Welding. The man left the area in a dark SUV heading north on EL Camino Real. 

At 12:50 a.m. Thursday, deputies arrested a 27-year-old man during a pedestrian check in the 200 block of Avenida Monterey. The man was taken into custody when deputies discovered there was a warrant out for his arrest. He has since been released on a bond. 

At 12:50 a.m. Thursday, deputies arrested a 45-year-old man during a pedestrian check in the 1300 block of Calle Amanecer. The report stated the man was arrested near a San Clemente Plumbing truck and was taken into custody with no posted bail amount.

At 12:34 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 700 block of Avenida Salvador. The informant reportedly saw a group of minors heading down into a canyon and suspected they were going to drink alcohol or do drugs. 

At 12:02 a.m. Thursday, deputies conducted a patrol check in the 600 block of Avenida Victoria. The patrol was in regards to a report from an Orange County Transportation Association employee who reported minors throwing rocks at passing vehicles.

At 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Calle Vista Del Sol and Calle Angelitos intersection. The informant reportedly saw at least 100 minors being noisy and driving recklessly while going back and fourth on the street. 

At 6:44 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported an act of fraud in the 600 block of Avenida Victoria. The report stated that a drunk woman in a denim jacket took off running from the Fisherman's Restaurant after skipping out on her bill. An employee detained the woman and deputies were requested. 

At 5:14 p.m. Wednesday, deputies arrested a 53-year-old-woman near the East Avenida Palizada and Avenida De La Estrella intersection. The woman was arrested for having a previously existing warrant from a battery charge. She was taken into custody and bail was set for $10,000. 

At 4:04 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance near the South El Camino Real and Avenida Victoria intersection. The informant reportedly had a beer can thrown at them by a local transient woman known for screaming at passers by near Mr. Petes Burger. Dispatchers could hear the woman yelling in the background. 

 At 3:02 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance near the East Avenida Palizada and the El Camino Real intersection. The informant reported that a group of minors were making police noises and yelling profanities at passing vehicles near the AT&T store. The minors were around the ages of 12 and 13.
