CRIME REPORTS: Mountain Lions and Mischievous Minors

These are collection of the significant calls from the dispatch log of San Clemente Police Services.

At 3:39 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported two minors were shooting air soft guns into their residence on the 1900 block of Via Pimpollo. The two minors live in the callers neighborhood. There was no reported arrest. 

At 2:53 p.m. Sunday, a caller complained there was a mountain lion sitting on top of a hill near his residence on the first block of Calle Aveituna. Police assisted animal control with locating the animal.

At 12:08 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported two minors were placing packing tape across the street of Camino La Pedriza in Talega. The two minors were hiding in bushes near a club house as cars passed over the tape. There was no reported arrest.

At 4:27 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance on the 1000 block of Domador. Police reported there was a loud party in progress. 

At 12:40 a.m. Sunday, police arrested a 54-year-old man on account of a traffic accident. The man suffered minor injuries as he crashed into a pole on the corner of Ole Vista and Barcelona. Police said wires were hanging down and they were unsure if the they were telephone or power lines. The man has since been released.

At 10:02 p.m. Saturday, a white 27-year-old man was arrested on the 100 block of Avenida Mirimar. The male was arrested on account of a narcotics offense and is currently in jail with a bail amount of $50,000.

At 9:47 p.m. Saturday, police assisted Orange County Fire Fighters with controlling traffic at the scene of a structure fire on the corner of El Camino and San Luis Rey. Police blocked the first lane of traffic on San Luis Rey and directed cars from there.

At 7:55 p.m. Saturday, a caller complained there were suspicious people on the corner of Calle Sarmentoso and Camino Costado. Police said there were minors throwing objects at passing vehicles from the Bernice Ayer Middle School parking lot. There was no reported arrest. 

At 6:31 p.m. Saturday, Police responded to a report of reckless driving on the 700 block of calle Sol. Police said there was a male racing his dirt bike up a down the street and had a four year old with him. The two had no helmets. 

At 6:28 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a disturbance call on the 300 block of Avenida Madrid. The caller said people were being loud and drinking by their car.  When confronted, a female urinated in the street and became verbally abusive. There was no reported arrest.
