CRIME REPORTS: Kids Chuck Rocks, Transient Spits

At 11:22 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 1800 block of Via Sage. The informant reported their father showed up drunk and kick down their door and proceeded to be verbally abusive. 

At 10:28 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a burglary in the 1300 block of Avenida Vista Hermosa. According to the report, several door handles were broken to a silver Mercedes Benz during an attempted burglary.

At 8:51 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance in the 5600 block of Costa Maritima. The informant reportedly saw several subjects loitering outside of a pool in Forester Highlands smoking marijuana. 

At 3:55 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a grand theft near the Avenida Vaquero and Camino Capistrano intersection. According to the report, a heavy-set man driving a flatbed truck took multiple items from behind the Salvation Army. Two minors were also seen taking items. 

At 2:40 p.m. Sunday, police were called to conduct a patrol check in the 100 block of Avenida Pelayo. The caller reported several minors who were in the middle of the street with lawn chairs and were causing cars to swerve. The minors were reportedly throwing rocks at passing vehicles. 

At 11:02 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a drunk in public in the 300 block of El Camino Real. According to the report, three men were very intoxicated behind Starbucks. One of the subjects fell on the ground, and paramedics were dispatched for alcohol poisoning. The man who fell was transported to the hospital, and police detained the two other subjects. 

At 10:37 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 700 block of Calle Casita. According to the report, there was a loud party in progress with minors drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana.

At 10:31 p.m. Saturday, police were called to conduct a patrol check near the Camino Del Rio and Camino De Los Mares intersection. According to the report, several subjects were seen throwing water balloons at passing vehicles. 

At 6:42 p.m. Saturday, police were called to conduct a patrol check near the Calle Del Cerro and Avenida La Pata intersection. According to the report, a group of minors were seen shooting air soft guns at passing cars. 

At 5:39 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. The report stated that a transient man was spitting at people who walked by him. The man was wearing a dark colored hoody, dark track pants, and a little yellow backpack. He was last seen heading towards Marbella. 

At 11:59 a.m. Saturday, an act of fraud was reported in the 700 block of El Camino Real. According to the report, a man and two women refused to pay their bill at a local breakfast spot because the food was bad.
