CRIME REPORTS: Sexual Assault During Laundry, Ball Bat Beating, Angry Girlfriend Smacks Man

Here are various reports pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

A 1:56 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 200 block of Avenida Rosa. The informant was disturbed by two women who were either arguing of partying.

At 11:06 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance near the I-5 freeway and Avenida Presidio intersection. A woman reported her husband was threatening to kill her. The woman’s husband had taken off on foot.

At 5:53 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a grand theft in the 3600 block of El Camino Real. A woman reported that her boyfriend, who is a professional photographer had some of his photos missing. The police met with the woman in the lobby of the Carmelo Motel.

At 3:39 p.m. Monday, a caller gave police an information report in the 800 block of El Camino Real. The informant told police she was in the rear ally of a Laundromat when a 18 to 19 year old man grabbed her buttocks, started masturbating and would’t let her go. According to the report, the man had a shaved and looked Italian. He was last seen walking towards T-steet 15 minutes before the report.

At 1:08 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a drunk in public in the 2400 block of El Camino Real. There were subjects in the lobby of the Travelodge hotel being obnoxious and throwing up.

At 10:37 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported an assault with a deadly weapon in the 100 block of La Ronda. According to the report, there were roughly ten men armed with three bats at , and they had been hitting the informant's husband. Roughly five of the men said they were from San Juan Capistrano.

At 8:32 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 100 block of La Ronda. A man confronted his neighbor about blocking his driveway, and the neighbor subsequently wanted to fight him. The caller demanded that a Spanish-speaking police officer respond. 

At 1:30 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a battery in the 1900 block of El Camino Real. The informant was hit by his belligerent girlfriend outside the Outrigger Tavern.

At 7:30 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a broken water main near the Vista Hermosa and Avenida La Pata intersection. According to the report, there was a 20-foot gusher of water into the air, and the street was flooded. 

At 9:38 a.m. Saturday, police arrested a 22-year-old-man in the 100 block of Calle Amistad. There were two men at the Pinnacle apartments looking into vehicles, making loud noises, and were trying to wake people up. The man arrested was taken into custody and bail was set for $50,000.
