CRIME REPORTS: Scraggly Woman Brandishes Spear

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

At 3:41 p.m. Monday, dispatchers received a 911 hang up in the 100 block of Avenida Victoria. The report stated a local transient woman had called 911 from a pay phone near the Catalina Liquor store and was not making any sense.

At 3:37 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 200 block of Avenida La Pata. According to the report, there were subjects riding scooters at Ralph’s Skate park even though it is against the rules. 

At 2:04 p.m. Monday, a caller reported an assault with a deadly weapon in the 200 block of Avenida San Antonio. According to the report, a scraggly looking woman was walking around the Alessandro and Ola Vista area and swung a sharpened stick at the informant.

At 9:43 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 900 block of El Camino Real. The report stated a woman with brown hair and a pink t-shirt came into a bank and was screaming and yelling at everyone inside. 

At 9:28 a.m. Monday, deputies assisted firefighters in the 100 block of Alameda Lane. The report stated Orange County firefighters were needed to assist with and elderly woman who had stopped breathing in the Cove.

At 10:48 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a reckless driver near the Camino De Los Mares and Diamante intersection. The informant reported an ongoing issue with people drag racing down Camino De Los Mares and Diamante. 

At 1:54 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of Avenida Magdalena. The report stated a man took off with someones golf cart from the Pro Golf Shop at the San Clemente Municipal golf course and was heading towards Trestles. Someone managed to stop the man before he was last seen walking up Magdalena to catch up with a friend. 

At 3:59 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a drunk in a car near the North El Camino Real and Camino Capistrano intersection. The informant reportedly saw a drunk man staggering around a parked grey Ford F-150 at a gas station. 

At 2:05 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a grand theft in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. According to the report, an employee of a restaurant took credit card receipts and cash with her on Thursday. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 11:00 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Camino Vera Cruz and Calle Sarmentoso intersection. The report stated that a group of minors were tossing water balloons at passing vehicles.
