CRIME REPORTS: Smashed Train Windows, Laundromat Brawl and Underage Boozing

Here are various reports pulled from the San Clemente police dispatch log over the past few days.

At 3:13 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 100 block of calle Amistad. The caller said there is a 50-year-old-man in the apartment making too much noise and hitting the ceiling on purpose. 

At 10:55 p.m. Thursday, a caller informed police that a vandalism had taken place near the Via Zafrio and Via Turqueza intersection. There were reports of a man in his 20’s charging threw the gate of a community in a white vehicle. 

At 10:54 p.m. Thursday police arrested a 33-year-old-man near the south El Camino Real and Avenida Mendocino intersection. According to the report, a man and a woman were fist fighting inside of a laundry establishment. The man was detained by police and taken into custody. Bail amount is $50,000.

At 12:32 a.m. Thursday, a caller informed police of a petty theft in the 900 block of Avenida Pico. Two-minors had stolen two 12-packs of beer and were last seen running towards Lowes  

At 8:32 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported vandalism near the Avenida Estacion and Senda De La Playa intersection. Rocks had been thrown at a train by an unidentified group of vandals. Police were taking a damage report as several of the trains windows had been smashed in.

At 4:11 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious person near the Avenida Presidio and El Camino Real intersection. A transient man in his 30’s was seen talking to himself in a mirror. The informant suspected the man had stolen some items recently reported missing in the area. 

At 7:54 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Avenida Palizada and I-5 freeway intersection.The caller was driving by and saw two men in a fist fight. When the caller turned their car around the two men were gone.

At 12:27 a.m. Thursday, police assisted firefighters with a medical call in the 100 block of Via Monte Picayo. An 18-year-old-woman was taken to the San Clemente Hospital for possible alcohol poisoning. 

At 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a firework violation near the Las Ramblas and Pas de Cristobal intersection. Several subjects were seen shooting bottle rockets from milk containers. 

At 10:05 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a vandalism the 2700 block of Penasco. The informant reported their daughters vehicle had been egged.
