CRIME REPORTS: Laptop Thief, Hands in Bermuda Shorts

These are various reports selected from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log throughout the past few days.

At 3:18 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to assist a citizen in the 200 block of El Portal. According to the report, the informant’s neighbor was shooting a BB gun into the air, and several of the BBs came into their window and hit him. 

At 11:47 a.m. Monday, deputies were called to assist a citizen in the 100 block of Avenida Presidio. The informant reported she was having problems with her boyfriend stealing money from her. 

At 8:57 a.m. Monday, a caller reported an indecent exposure in the 2300 block of El Camino Real. The report stated that a man in his 50s and dressed in Bermuda shorts was seen masturbating between the Auto Center and the OC Tavern.

At 10:55 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 1600 block of Via Tulipan. According to the report, the informant was disturbed by a group of minors who were being loud while smoking a hookah in their front yard. 

At 10:15 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 600 block of Avenida Victoria. The informant reportedly saw an intoxicated transient woman lying on the train tracks near the entrance to the pier.

At 6:46 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to assist a citizen in the 1600 block of El Camino Real. According to the report, the informant has had an ongoing issue with his ex-girlfriend breaking into his vehicle. The report stated the informant is having ongoing issues with his ex ever since they broke up. 

At 11:53 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 2400 block of El Camino Real. According to the report, four men were seen in a heated physical argument near the Travelodge motel. 

At 11:18 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 600 block of Via Merluza. The informant was reportedly disturbed by a man who had a cooler full of beer and was making a lot of noise in a pool area at the Pacific Point apartments. 

At 9:18 p.m. Saturday, deputies assisted an elderly woman in the North Beach Area. The woman was given a ride to the Denny's restaurant on Avenida Pico. 

At 8:15 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a burglary in progress in the 500 block of Camino De Estrella. According to the report, a fire alarm was set off at the K-Mart and a man was seen walking out of the store with several laptops. The store’s loss prevention confirmed that two laptops were taken near the time of the fire alarm. The man was last seen speeding off in a silver BMW onto Camino Capistrano.
