CRIME REPORTS: Transients Camp, Hit Crack Pipe

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log throughout the past few days.

At 11:57 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to help keep the peace in the 200 block of El Camino Real. The report stated that an employee of the Red Fox Lounge was refusing to return a set car key. Dispatchers reported the informant sounded intoxicated, but said he has had nothing to drink. 

At 9:56 p.m. Monday, deputies arrested a 57-year-old-man in the 2700 block of El Camino Real. The report stated deputies were conducting a pedestrian check when they discovered the subject had a warrant out for his arrest. He was taken into custody with a bail amount of $75,000. 

At 7:06 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance in the 100 block of Palm Drive. The report stated that a group of transients were were seen setting up a camp near the Palm Beach Mobile Homes. The subjects were across the railroad tracks and were in bushes.

At 8:31 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. The report stated that a male transient was seen smoking out of what appeared to be a crack pipe. The subject was near Carls Jr. and was around the age of 65.

At 10:38 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported an act of fraud near the Cristianitos and Camino La Pedriza intersection. A taxi cab driver was having an issue with a drunk woman who was refusing to pay the fare. The woman eventually paid after deputies responded.

At 7:50 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 100 block of Mariposa. The informant reported that their neighbor's son was intoxicated and attempting to break into their home. There was no suspected use of narcotics or weapons. 

At 6:53 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 3500 block of Avenida Del Presidente. The report stated that two females were seen fighting on Presidente and a man was attempting to break it up. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 5:14 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 200 block of Avenida Califia. The informant reportedly witnessed a group of at least 15 subjects playing chicken with the train. Metrolink also made a similar report. 

At 3:41 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported an indecent exposure in the 100 block of Canada. The caller stated that a man was outside of an apartment complex with no pants on. The informant suspected the man lives in the area. 

At 11:48 p.m. Saturday, deputies arrested a 47-year-old-man in the 1100 block of Calle De Cerro. The report stated there was a family disturbance in progress and the subject was kicking holes walls and making a scene. He was taken into custody with a bail amount of $15,000.
