CRIME REPORTS: Truck Masturbator, Drunk Driving

Here are various reports pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

At 10:08 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a drunk driver near East Avenida San Gabriel and El Camino Real. The caller stated he had followed the driver, who had parked and headed towards 7-11 and Pedro’s Tacos. The caller informed police that the vehicle was a gunmetal grey Toyota Camry. A deputy met the informant at the scene. No arrest was made.

At 4:33 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a vandalism report at Via Turqueza and Avenida Vista Hermosa. Several windows had been broken on a red convertible Mini Cooper.

At 4:47 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a grand theft at the 800 block of El Camino Real. The item reported missing was an iPad, and the informant believed it was stolen at the given location.

At 5:48 p.m. Tuesday, police received a call regarding a man masturbating in a grey Chevy truck near the 2300 block of El Camino Real. The informant explained the car was parked at Big-O Tires. The vehicle suddenly pulled out and turned right on El Camino Real. 

At 6:19 p.m. Tuesday, a caller informed police of a person down at the intersection of La Rambla and Boca del Canon. The caller described the victim as a female wearing jean shorts who was lying on the ground.  It could not be determined if the woman was homeless or injured, yet she was reportedly able to move. The fire department was dispatched.

At 5:54 p.m. Monday, police arrested a 52 year-old female for drunk driving at East Avenida San Gabriel and El Camino Real. She had been reportedly swerving since exiting the freeway and was in the drive through of Pedro’s Tacos when police arrived on scene.

At 12:49 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported two suspicious persons in a vehicle at the 100 block of Via Mimosa. The caller stated he witnessed a male and a female engaging in sexual intercourse in a black Chevy Avalanche. One of the parties had arrived in a gold Honda SUV.

At 9:22 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a call regarding suspicious circumstances on Tesoro. A caller reported a dog barking excessively.  A large limb from a tree at the residence was also broken. The caller claimed he did not hear the branch break but it was the second time a tree limb had been broken recently.

At 2:25 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a call regarding suspicious persons at the 1600 block of El Camino Real. The informant reported three persons walking who were possibly under the influence. The subjects reportedly walked up to the informant’s vehicle and attempted to break in while he was inside.
