CRIME REPORTS: Woman Slashed with Pocket Knife, Crazed Man at Taco Bell

Here are various reports pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

At 4:54 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 100 block of Avenida Cristianitos. According to the report, a man and a woman were seen fighting each other. The man took off in a gold Mercury Sable.

At 2:52 p.m. Monday, police assisted the Orange County Fire Authority with a call in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. There were reports of a dumpster fire in the ally way behind . There appeared to be some confusion if the fire was on the roof or coming from a dumpster. 

At 9:56 p.m. Monday, police arrested a 55-year-old-man near the Via Pico and Avenida Pico intersection. Police arrested the man for being an unregistered sex offender. He was taken into custody and bail was set for $25,000.

At 10:53 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a firework violation in the 400 block of Ola Vista. There were two minors running up and down Santa Barbara Street throwing fireworks in various citizens yards. Both the minors were wearing dark, hooded sweatshirts and dark pants. 

At 9:34 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. There was a situation at the San Clemente Hospital where a 22-year-old patient was on meth and got into a fight with hospital staff. The man was taken to Saddleback Hospital for further care.

At 7:48 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 100 block of Avenida San Diego. The informant reported a woman who drives a black Mercedes went to buy “dope” for a couple of men who were standing in a driveway. The woman was expected to come back with the “dope”soon. According to the informant, this has been an ongoing problem.

At 1:29 p.m. Sunday, police conducted a welfare check in the 200 block of Avenida Lobeiro. A woman called 911 and stated that she needed to find her husband. The woman was not making much sense, and has said she needed her medication, which was Oxycontin. 

At 3:33 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported an assault with a deadly weapon in the 200 block of Via Nada. A woman reported being stabbed 7 times with a pocket knife by her male friend's ex-girlfriend. The ex-girlfriend was from Vista, and police reported the stabs were more like slashes. 

At 1:19 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance near the South El Camino Real and Avenida Barcelona intersection. According to the report, a subject who was sitting on a bus bench near had pulled three newspaper stands out of the ground and ran into the street to flip off passing drivers. The subject then proceded to throw rocks at passing vehicles and hit a subject on a skateboard. 

At 4:54 p.m. Saturday, police arrested a 40-year-old-woman near the Avenida Victoria and Avenida Santa Barbara intersection. The woman was suspected of driving while intoxicated. She was taken into custody and has since been released.

At 2:32 p.m. Friday, police arrested a 41-year-old-man in the first block of Vista Del Ponto. The informant's boyfriend was threatening to kill her and proceeded to grab her by the arms. The man then decided to hog-tie the woman. There were no reports of weapons or drugs.
