CRIME REPORTS: Yelling Ex-Girlfriend, Huffing, Man Slapping Self

Here are various reports pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

At 9:49 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a traffic accident with unknown injuries near the Avenida Presidio and El Camino Real intersection. According to the report, a single motorcycle had gone down and the driver had experienced some abrasions. 

At 9:43 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 400 block of Cazador Lane. A unknown man threatened to shoot several boys who were playing with Airsoft rifles in the Trafalgar canyon if they did not leave.

At 2:48 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspicious person at the 100 block of Avenida Del Poniente. A group of approximately four men were seen huffing on a white aerosol canister with a red nozzle. There was no further report.

At 6:53 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 100 block of Avenida Baja. The caller said a woman has been standing outside and repeatedly yelling on her cell phone since 6:00 a.m. 

At 9:08 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Costa Maritima and Calle Polvorosa intersection. There was a group of minors hanging out at a community pool off Costa Maritima drinking alcohol. There was no further report.

At 4:05 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance near the El Camino Real and Camino Capistrano intersection. According to the report, the caller saw a man slapping himself and got on his hands and knees and was acting strangely. The man was in his 60’s and was also in danger because he was getting close to traffic. 

At 8:53 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Dije and Buena Vista intersection. There was a party in a vacant lot and the end of Dije and the subjects lit a bonfire in an old washing machine.

At 7:24 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a drunk driver near the Vista Hermosa and Avenida Talega intersection. The driver was seen stumbling on the way to his car and left the parking lot heading west bound on Vista Hermosa.

At 10:23 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 300 block of El Camino Real. A man who works at Pizza Port was upset because his ex-girlfriend keeps coming into his work to yell at him. The report stated the woman is a known alcoholic and left driving a Subaru Empresa.

At 12:18 p.m. Friday, police conducted a welfare check in the 800 block of Avenida Pico. An elderly woman was lost in the Albertson’s grocery store and could not remember where she lived. The police assisted with contacting the woman’s family and releasing her to family members.
