CRIME: Shirtless Beating, Roommate Stabber

At 12:02 am on Thursday, a caller reported vandalism at Via Pico Plaza. Two people were throwing coffee on walls of the building and dirt on the patio. Finally, they broke the fire extinguisher before they ran off.

At 4:56 pm on Wednesday, a disturbance was reported at the 600 block on Avenida Victoria. A drunk man was reported hanging around the train tracks. He was allegedly trying to pick fights with passersby and cursing loudly. The suspect was reported wearing a large, black shirt with white lettering, long shorts, and long black socks.

At 9:51 am on Wednesday, a disoriented male was reported walking the train tracks at North El Camino Real and Avenida Pico.

At 7:11 am on Wednesday, a man reported another man sitting in a computer chair in his garage at 3400 block on El Camino Real. The informant detained the man in his garage after he noticed his closet was rummaged through.

At 12:45 am on Wednesday, a burglary was reported at a pizza place at the 100 block at Avenida de la Estrella.

At 10:03 pm on Tuesday, a fight involving about 20 people was reported at the Denny’s at the 100 block on Avenida Navarro. One man was on the ground being beaten by another. Both men were reported shirtless. Eight men were reported running away from the Denny’s. These men were also shirtless. No prosecution is desired.

At 9:23 pm on Tuesday, suspicious persons were reported to have been camping out for a week in the informant’s car and boat at the 2700 block on Via Cascadita.

At 7:45 pm on Tuesday, a man was reported for attempting to stab his roommate with a knife at the 2300 block on Calle Lobina.

At 5:24 pm on Tuesday, two boys were reported to be putting metal scraps in the middle of traffic lanes. The informant stated that the two would run off and hide in the bushes on Calle Saludia and Avenida Talega.

At 10:58 am on Tuesday, a caller reported that her daughter was trying to kill her with a knife at the 100 block of Paseo de Cristobal.

At 2:00 am on Tuesday, a traffic accident occurred at the 2800 block of Calle Guadalajara where a car containing a man and a woman people hit a 7-foot tall, 15-20 inch in diameter tree. The woman complained of pain in her arm. The driver of the car was arrested and is currently in Central Men’s Jail with bail set at $100,000.
