Officials are keeping details on the murder of a Mission Viejo man close to the vest but did say today that the day the body was discovered was not necessarily the day of the attack.
Francesco Bonomolo, 47, was discovered dead in his apartment at the Vista Real Apartments at 27260 Los Altos on May 4.
But he may have died anytime between April 29 and May 4, said officials with the Orange County District Attorney’s office.
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies have since arrested the man they believe is responsible, Adam Anthony Ingala-Whiting, 21, of Oceanside, who is scheduled to appear in court today.
Ingala-Whiting is charged with one felony count of murder with the sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a deadly weapon and faces a maximum sentence of 26 years to life in state prison if convicted.
Authorities suspect Ingala-Whiting with stabbing Bonomolo multiple times, but won’t say much more than that.
