Deputies Catch Teen Mugger

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a resident tries to help two men, a group of teens steals some boxes, and another group of teenagers disturbs neighbors with laser guns.

At 8:11 p.m. Saturday Nov. 30, a woman called the sheriff’s office to report a battery in the 100 block of Canada. The caller explained two young men had jumped her in an alleyway. Deputies tracked down the assaulters and arrested a 19-year-old. The young man is currently in custody with no bail amount posted.

Also:

At 3:51 a.m. Saturday Nov. 30, a caller told deputies about a disturbance in the 100 block of Avenida de La Estrella. The caller heard someone struggling and went to investigate and found a woman trying to beat up two men. No arrest was made.

At 4:01 a.m. Saturday Nov. 30, someone reported a theft in the 3000 block of El Camino Real. The caller stated a group of teens had stolen some boxes from a local business and ran away on foot.

At 9:40 p.m. Saturday, deputies received a call about a disturbance in the 3800 block of Vista Blanca. A group of teenagers on top of a hill was shooting laser lights into the caller's bedroom. The caller said this had been an ongoing issue.
