Orange County Sheriff’s deputies have identified the suspect in a deputy-involved shooting Sunday in Ladera Ranch.

At about 10:26 p.m., responded to the domestic disturbance call in the 100 block of Sansovino, according to a just-released press statement.

“Deputies arrived and encountered Shaun Bradley Paquette, 29, Ladera Ranch, inside the residence, during which time a deputy-involved shooting occurred,” according to the new release.

Paquette was transported to a local hospital by Orange County Fire Authority paramedics with non-life threatening injuries suffered as a result of the shooting.

The deputy was not injured during the incident.

Paquette was arrested on suspicion of for assault with a deadly weapon, battery against a spouse and child endangerment.  He was booked into Orange County Jail and is currently being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Like all deputy-involved shootings, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office is investigating the incident.

Ladera is a sardine can. The homes in some parts of that community are scrunched together. There has to be environmentally induced tension. Plus a lot of folks there are still underwater - that has to add up and potentially push people over the limit. Heck, maybe the resident was a Greek soccer fan.

The density of L.R. probably had nothing to do with a domestic violence call. Go to OCR to read the article since Patch hasn't updated theirs.

Story now updated. Lt. Hallock said he would have the release a lot sooner than it was actually emailed. Sorry for the delay.
