CRIME REPORTS: Drunk Drivers, Petty Thieves, Gangster Picnics

Here are various reports pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

At 1:08 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a drunk in public near the 900 block of El Camino Real. The informant reported a man with a very red face was being belligerent with customers at the Ralph’s grocery store.

At 7:04 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a battery in the 100 block of Calle De Los Molinos. According to the report, there was a conflict involving , where an ex-business partner and their employes tried to jump the informant. Police detained four subjects. 

At 1:55 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a drunk driver near the I-5 freeway and Avenida Palizada. The driver was in a grey Chevy Suburban and was heading south bound.

At 12:50 a.m. Monday, police arrested a 40-year-old-woman near the North El Camino Real and Marquita intersection. The woman was driving with an excess blood alcohol level and had previous warrants and charges. She was taken into custody and bail was posted for $7,500. 

At 7:47 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a welfare check in the 200 block of Calle Seville. The informant was concerned about his daughter and two grandchildren. The informant suspected his daughter has been smoking crystal meth since she has been acting weird living in a messy house.

At 6:36 p.m. Sunday, a citizen assist was made in the 600 block of El Camino Real. According to the report, a woman was caught stealing from the CVS pharmacy and an employee tried to detain her. The woman took off towards El Camino and left her purse inside the store. 

At 5:40 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 200 block of Avenida Vista Montana. According the report, subjects were throwing pine cones at passing vehicles near Lobo Elementary School.

At 7:10 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance in the 1100 block of Calle Puente. The informant was uneasy about two heavy-set men in their 30’s having a picnic under an umbrella. According to the report, the informant said there is a city ordinance banning gang members from Max Berg Park. 

At 6:34 p.m. Saturday, police arrested a 30-year-old-man in the 600 block of Avenida Victoria. According to the report, the man was intoxicated while yelling and kicking a vehicle. He was taken into custody and has since been released. 

At 2:16 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a stolen vehicle in the 600 block of El Camino Real. The informant's silver Saturn was last parked near .
