Man Arrested After Shoving Ex to the Ground

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, teens damage a car, a 3 a.m. party disturbs neighbors, and a thief steals a backpack full of medical supplies.

At 6:10 p.m. Saturday Jan. 18, a caller reported a disturbance in the 100 block of Via Plumosa. The caller said her ex-husband shoved her onto the ground by her neck. Deputies quickly arrived and arrested the 43-year-old man. He has since been released from jail.

At 10:08 p.m. Friday Jan. 17, a caller reported vandalism in the 300 block of Paseo Pinto. Three teens were throwing steel balls into the street. One of the balls hit the caller’s car and caused significant damage. The teens fled when they were spotted.

At 3:02 a.m. Saturday Jan. 18, someone called deputies to report a disturbance in the 100 block of Avenida Palizada. The caller said people in a neighboring home were screaming and yelling during a party.

At 3:34 a.m. Saturday Jan. 18, deputies received a call about a theft near the cross streets of South El Camino Real and Avenida Santa Margarita. An unknown man had stolen a backpack full of medical supplies from the caller.
