Four Man Brawl Results in Arrest

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a vehicle bursts into flames, a possible intruder who takes nothing, and a curious informant catches two fraudulent men.

At 7:00 p.m. Sunday, someone reported a disturbance in the 100 block of Escalones. The informant stated two drunken men were fighting outside of a vehicle. Soon, two other men joined the fight, with one of the men on the ground profusely bleeding from his head. When the brawlers realized they had been spotted, they quickly got into the vehicle and sped away. Deputies tracked down the men and arrested a 26-year-old man, and sent one man to the hospital for head injuries. The 26-year-old is currently in custody with no bail amount posted.

At 2:04 a.m. Sunday, a worried informant reported a fire in the 200 block of La Esneranza. A vehicle next to a house had burst into flames. Thankfully, no one was inside the vehicle. Orange County firefighters quickly arrived to douse the flames.

At 10:06 p.m. Sunday, a confused caller reported a suspicious circumstance in the 2900 block of Via San Gorgonio. The informant explained when she had returned home, she noticed things in her house had been moved around, however nothing was missing.

At 12:27 p.m. Monday, a caller told deputies about a suspicious circumstance in the 2900 block of Calle Guadalajara. The caller said two men were going door-to-door claiming to be working for a gas company. The informant called the gas company, who denied having any workers soliciting services.

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.
