Man: Give (Green)Peace a Chance

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a fight turns ugly, a loud altercation worries neighbors and residents think they hear gunshots.

At 4:57 p.m. Friday, a concerned caller reported a disturbance near the cross streets of Avenida la Pata and Avenida Pico. A 20-year-old man was screaming at a Greenpeace representative outside a local Albertsons store.

At 11:19 a.m. Thursday, someone reported a disturbance in the 2600 block of El Camino Real. The informant claimed her sister-in-law had scratched her face during a physical fight.

At 10:38 p.m. Friday, an informant called the sheriff’s office to report a disturbance in the 2900 block of Camino Capistrano. The caller claimed two neighbors were screaming and breaking objects inside an apartment.

At 12:22 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported shots fired in the 200 block of Avenida Pelayo. The informant stated the shots had also been heard at the same time on Friday.

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.
