Hustlers, Drugs and Roof-Top Prowlers

Here are various reports pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the last few days.

At 7:13 a.m. on Tuesday at Calle Saltamontes, a caller reported a child missing from the residence. The white male with brown hair and blue eyes was last seen wearing gray pajamas. The caller called back to state the child had been found.

At 8:08 a.m. on Tuesday at 300 block on Paseo De Cristobal, a caller reported a possible water main break. The caller reported a tarp on the hill by the pier and noticed the water puddling down around the railroad tracks.

At 10:55 a.m. on Tuesday at east Avenida Pico and the 5 freeway, a caller reported a male driver with tattoos driving a light blue aerostar van swerving in and out of lanes and talking to himself. No further details were reported.

At 6:57 p.m. on Tuesday at 500 block on Camino De Estrella, a Sears employee reported a shoplifter who got away. The caller said the stolen merchandise had been recovered as well as the shoplifter’s purse.

At 1:38 a.m. on Wednesday at Calle Ameno, a caller reported two shots fired within a five-second interval. The caller didn't know where they came from. No further details given were given.

At 7:19 a.m. on Wednesday, a caller reported a transient had set up camp on a patio on Avenida Cabrillo. The caller described the man was carrying a Christmas tree.

At 8:23 a.m. on Wednesday off Avenida Junipero, a caller reported smoke and chemical smells coming from the Orange County Fire location. No further details were given.

At 11:05 a.m. on Wednesday in the 1000 block at Avenida De La Estrella, a caller reported her ex-boyfriend driving by her residence in a white Chevy Tahoe and tampering with her car. No further details were reported.

At 12:38 p.m. on Wednesday off Calle Agua and Camino De Los Mares, a caller reported a man in a gray Chevy four-door hit a woman driving a black Yukon and grabbed her cell phone. No further details were reported.

At 12:57 p.m. on Wednesday off 900 block of Avendia Pico, a caller reported a drunk man wearing a hat and long sleeve shirt harassing women for money in the Circle K parking lot. No further details were reported.

At 2:12 p.m. on Wednesday by Truman Benedict Elementary School, a caller reported two people climbing up on the roof of the Junior Snack Shack. No further details were reported.

At 3:07 a.m. on Thursday at 200 block Avenida Rosa, a caller reported what he thought was his girlfriend’s ex-husband carrying a knife and hiding in the bushes in the backyard. The caller also reported another man in the backyard with the suspect. No further details were reported.

At 3:47 a.m. on Thursday at 200 block Escalones, a caller reported a man yelling at the mailboxes and then began singing and walking toward the beach. No further details were reported.

At 8:06 a.m. on Thursday at Calle Sol, a caller reported a 17-year-old boy that held her child down and poured water and syrup on him. No further details were reported.

At 1:07 p.m. on Thursday at 900 block at Avenida Pico, a caller reported seeing a man huffing an aerosol can inside his blue Honda and passing out. No further details were reported.

At 4:03 p.m. on Thursday at 200 block Avendia Del Mar, a caller reported two juveniles talking to a woman with red hair, sunglasses, a dark beanie and leggings who was trying to sell them drugs. The minors left the area and reported it.
