Landlord Arrested for Allegedly Beating Up 61-Year-Old Tennant

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, an angry cab driver, a woman drunk in public, and a neighbor that want to start a fight.

At 6:25 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported a possible battery in the 300 block of Paseo de Cristobal. A 61-year-old man had been allegedly assaulted by his landlord earlier that morning. The man was transported to a local hospital, and deputies arrested the 28-year-old landlord. He has since been released from jail.

Also:

At 3:27 a.m. Saturday, a caller asked deputies to keep the peace in the 1800 block of El Camino Real. The informant was an angry taxi driver who stated his passenger ran out of the cab and refused to pay the fare.

At 5:35 p.m. Saturday, someone called the sheriff’s department to report a woman who was drunk in public near the cross streets of Camino De Los Mares and Marbella. The approximately 30-year-old woman was reportedly stumbling into the street.

At 12:49 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 100 block of Calle Amistad. The informant stated that his neighbor was outside his home, screaming at him to come outside and fight. The caller told deputies that the neighbor was allegedly drunk, and that it had been an ongoing issue.
