Man Arrested for Brandishing Weapon in Laundry Room

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, an angry man possibly on drugs yelling, a woman is arrested for trespassing and three suspicious men behind a Trader Joe's.

At 12:16 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 20, a concerned caller reported a man who had brandished a weapon in the 600 block of Calle Campana. The informant had gone to the laundry room in her apartment building and seen a man with a black backpack and a weapon. Authorities found the man in an alley close by. The 23-year-old man was arrested and has since been released from jail.

At 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, someone called the sheriff’s office to report a suspicious person near the cross streets of Camino Vera Cruz and Camino de Los Mares. The informant claimed he had been accused of following a man in a black BMW. The caller believed the upset man might have been using drugs.

At 7:58 p.m. Wednesday, a 44-year-old woman was arrested for trespassing in the 600 block of Avenida Victoria. The woman had been loitering in front of the Fisherman’s Restaurant and had been asked to leave several times.

At 8:11 p.m. Wednesday, an informant told deputies about a disturbance in the 600 block of Camino de Los Mares. Three men were changing and urinating on the wall behind  Trader Joe’s.
