Man Arrested for Breaking into Car with a Rock

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, two women jump a gate, a noisy neighbor and an angry quarrel.

At 1:54 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a burglary in progress near the cross streets of Corto Lane and Avenida Palizada. The informant said a man was using a rock to break into a white hatchback parked on Corto Lane. Several other callers reported the situation to deputies before help arrived. A 30-year-old man was arrested and is currently in custody with a $100,000 bail set.

At 12:53 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 400 block of Avenida Granada. Two women in workout clothing and carrying luggage were seen jumping the front gate to get into the residential area.

At 8:30 a.m. Monday, someone reported a disturbance in the 100 block of Avenida Granada. An informant claimed a neighbor was loudly banging on his window. The neighbor was heard saying he was only fixing the window.

At 11:56 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance near the cross streets of Calle Frontera and Avenida Vista Hermosa. The informant said a man and a woman were yelling loudly at each other.
