Man Attacks Girlfriend, Gets Arrested

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a suspicious man, a man drunk in public and a homeless man pushes a baby stroller in the middle of traffic.

At 1:18 a.m. Friday July 26, authorities arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. The man allegedly attacked his girlfriend at his home in San Juan Capistrano. The woman was rushed to the emergency room after the attack. The man has since been released from jail.

At 10:39 a.m. Friday, an informant reported a suspicious person in the 500 block of Avenida Pico. A man had taken a dumpster from a local business and pushed it in the middle of the street. The caller said the man was also talking to himself.

At 4:51 p.m. Friday, someone called the sheriff’s office to report a man who was drunk in public in the 600 block of Avenida Victoria. The man was drinking beer by a concessions stand at the end of the pier.

At 6:54 p.m. Friday, a caller asked for a welfare check near the cross streets of East Avenida Pico and Calle De Los Molinos. A homeless man was walking in the middle of traffic while pushing a baby stroller.
