Deputies Track Down Man Suspected of Possessing Illegal Drugs

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a feuding couple, a group of teens smoking drugs, and a suspicious vehicle circles a neighborhood at midnight.

At 11:09 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 1, deputies received a call for help for an unknown situation near the cross streets of East Mariposa and El Camino Real. They arrived to search a vehicle and found a man who alleged had illegal drugs on him. The 28-year-old man was arrested and has since been released from jail.

Also:

At 11:21 a.m. Tuesday Sept. 1, someone reported a disturbance in the 200 block of Marquita. A man and a woman were loudly fighting, and the informant was worried the fight would escalate into a physical argument.

At 1:44 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 1, an informant called the sheriff’s office to report a group of suspicious teens in the 100 block of Avenida Patero de Oro. The caller claimed a group of high school students were regularly sitting outside the location and doing drugs.

At 12:25 a.m. Wednesday Sept. 2, a concerned caller reported a suspicious vehicle near the cross streets of Avenida Tranquila and Avenida de Verdes. The informant claimed a man in a white sedan was circling the block multiple times.

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.
