Man Sideswipes Porsche, Yells Insult, Drives Off

At 12:31 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 17, someone reported a hit-and-run accident on Camino de Los Mares near Calle Agua. According to the report, a man driving a white sedan sideswiped someone in a Porsche Boxter and then yelled, “Screw off.”

At 11:40 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 17, a caller reported a burglary in the 100 block of Avenida Serra. An apartment manager said the tenant was in the hospital, and when relatives came to the unit, they discovered items missing.

At 1:40 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 17, deputies received a call for assistance in the 100 block of Avenida Presidio. According to the report, a person who had purchased a car via Craiglist was having issues with the vehicle.

At 5:25 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 17, someone reported a suspicious circumstance in the 400 block of El Camino Real. The caller said a business’s window had been smashed. When deputies arrived, they determined there was no foul play involved. The window was the result of “faulty” construction
