Masked Sea Gull Creates a Traffic Hazard

Here are various reports pulled from the San Clemente police dispatch log over the past few days.

At 1:36 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a traffic hazard near the Camino de los Mares and Camino Vera Cruz intersection. Drivers were being distracted by a sea gull in the middle of the road with a bag stuck over its head. Animal control was advised to respond.

At 7:17 p.m. Friday, a caller reported seeing a man spraying graffiti on a water tower in the first block of Calle Sol. She said that once she made eye contact with the man, he ran off. 

At 12:31 a.m. Friday, a 53-year-old woman was arrested in the 100 block of Palm Drive. A woman had been seen stealing objects near the Palm Beach mobile-home park office. The theft suspect had a warrant out for her arrest.

At 9:26 p.m. Thursday, a citizen-assist call was made in the 600 block of Camino de los Mares. Reports were made of people threatening each other while in line for the new Harry Potter movie at the Kirkorian theater. 

At 4:07 p.m. Thursday, a 911 hang-up occurred in the 900 block of El Camino Real. A female transient was reportedly yelling vulgarities to the operator from a pay phone.

At 2:14 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a drunken driver near the El Camino Real and Avenida Palizada intersection. According to the report, a man driving a GMC with Arizona license plates was swerving all over the road. 

At 11:16 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 100 block of Calle Aguila. There was a group of minors drinking alcohol in  Rancho San Clemente Park. The caller said it was an ongoing problem.

At 8:59 p.m. Wednesday, police conducted a welfare check near Avenida Estrella and La Placentia. The Orange County Fire Authority arrived and took a young child, who was inside of a white van yelling for help, to Mission Hospital.

At 6:08 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 200 block of Avenida del Mar, where a female transient was causing a scene outside of the Shore restaurant. 

At 5:41 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported an assault in the 600 block of Calle Canasta. The woman said she had been beaten up by her roommate.
