OCFA Observes 9/11 Moment of Silence

Firefighters stand at attention Sunday morning in remembrance of their fallen brethren.

Firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority donned their dress uniforms Sunday for the 10th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon and Pennsylvania.

Dispatchers coordinated a moment of silence over the radio so the hundreds of OCFA firefighters at stations throughout Orange County could salute the flags outside their respective stations at the same time.

In San Clemente, the four firefighters on duty at Station 59 on Avenida La Pata observed a quiet ceremony at 9 a.m. Sunday, along with the rest of county.
