Police cars and a helicopter converged on a commercial building in the Calle Amanecer business district early Thursday and detained 22 unauthorized workers.
The search of R&R Industries on Calle Cordillera, which makes construction safety apparel, was the building that was raided, according to the Orange County Register.
Around 9:15 a.m., more than two dozen law enforcement vehicles assembled in a parking lot in the business district of San Clemente, accompanied by a helicopter overhead, according to a witness.
Other workers along Amanecer reported police cars racing up the street toward the Avenida La Pata intersection.
