CRIME REPORTS: Pot Cookie, Lewd Driver.

At 7:28 p.m. Monday, police were called to investigate a person down in the 200 block of Avenida Del Mar. According to the report, an elderly man with a breathing apparatus was found laying in the bushes near the library. The man was incoherent and firefighters were also responding to the call. 

At 6:33 p.m. Monday, police arrested a 57-year-old-man in the 100 block of Pas De Cristobal. Police detained the man as he was found passed out and intoxicated in a turquoise Volkswagen. 

At 2:19 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 400 block of El Camino Real. According to the report, a drunk man was seen running into traffic lanes and screaming at passing vehicles. 

At 8:42 a.m. Monday, police arrested a 40-year-old-woman in the 700 block of El Camino Real. The woman had been squatting for a month and was arrested when she proceeded to scream and yell from the balcony of the Patriot motel. 

At 2:41 a.m. Monday, police arrested a 41-year-old-woman in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. According to the report, the woman was a patient at the San Clemente Hospital and began to act physically violent. The woman reportedly ate a marijuana cookie which led to her freaking out and possibly hallucinating. She also accused the staff of touching her inappropriately and giving her the wrong medication. She was taken into custody and bail was set for $500.00. 

At 5:31 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a petty theft in the 500 block of Camino De Estrella. Two girls were caught stealing from the Sears and were reportedly being cooperative. They were eventually released. 

At 3:50 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 200 block of Avenida La Pata. According to the report, a 12-year-old called the police and stated there were at least ten minors riding scooters in the skate park when it is against the rules to be riding scooters. The informant also said this has been an ongoing problem and they keep coming back. 

At 11:04 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported an indecent exposure in the 200 block of Avenida Del Poniente. The informant reportedly saw a man drive by her very slowly and was masturbating. The man was in his mid 30’s and was driving a black Scion. 

At 9:45 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance near the West Pas De Cristobal and Calle Toledo intersection. According to the report, there has been an ongoing problem in the area with minors throwing lots of rocks and sticks into the street. Police detained the four minors after they had been hiding in the bushes and released them to their parents. 

At 3:09 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported a vandalism in progress in the 200 block of Escalones. According to the report, several minors were seen tossing over trash cans and were last seen heading towards Mariposa.
