Pendleton Police Find Lost Woman

The woman was lost for more than two hours near Cristianitos Road.

Camp Pendleton Police enlisted the help of three outside agencies to track down a woman who had been lost in the brush near Cristianitos Road Easter weekend.

The "distraught woman" called police from a cell phone at about 9 p.m. Saturday, according to dispatch reports. She told police said she had been wandering around in the brush near Cristianitos and the I-5 Freeway for more than two hours -- she had parked nearby, but couldn't find her way out to the road.

The Camp Pendleton Police called the Orange County Sheriff's Department to bring in a helicopter, and they notified the San Onofre state park rangers.
