Probationer Armed with Pellet Gun Is Arrested

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a very sleepy man, a possibly very drunk driver, and midnight may not be the best time to use a table saw.

At 10:47 a.m. Thursday Dec. 5, deputies received a call for assistance near the cross streets of Avenida Talega and Camino Tierra Grande. The callers said they had detained a probationer armed with a pellet gun on the trail up to the water tower. Deputies arrived and arrested the 24-year-old offender. He is currently in custody with no bail amount posted.

At 4:50 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 4, someone reported a disturbance in the 600 block of Camino de Los Mares. A man was sleeping inside a local business and refusing to leave.

At 1:31 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 4, a caller told deputies about a drunken driver near the cross streets of East Avenida Pico and El Camino Real. The caller explained a man was driving a car on the wrong side of the road and swerving.

At 11:47 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 4, someone called the sheriff’s office to report a disturbance in the 100 block of El Camino Real. The caller said someone was using an extremely loud table saw nearby.
