Orange County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing San Clemente man.
Paul Jon Coppin, 46, was last seen about 11:30 a.m. last Tuesday at his home in San Clemente.
“When his roommate returned home at around 1:30 p.m., he was not there,” according to a sheriff’s department press release. “Coppin has not been seen or heard from since. He left his cell phone and all other personal belongings at the residence.”
Deputies believe Coppin does not have any money or credit cards on him.
Coppin is known to speak with his mother on a daily basis, according to the sheriff’s department. She has not heard from him since Sept. 17, the day he was last seen. She says this is “highly unusual.”
Coppin also has ties in Garden Grove and may be in that area. He may be in need of medical attention. He is described as 6-foot, 2 inches, weighing 190 pounds, Caucasian with green eyes. He has “Mom” tattooed on his left arm and barbed wire on his right wrist. He has a scar on his inside right arm.
Coppin was last seen wearing blue and white shorts, a light-colored T-shirt with white and blue running shoes.
Anyone with any information regarding Coppin’s whereabouts is asked to call the Orange County Sheriff’s Department at 714.647.7055 or 714.647.7000.
