An Inside Job: Deputies Arrest Employee for Theft

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a cranky bus passenger, a bloody brawl, and a tired stranger.

At 5:20 p.m. Monday Nov. 18, a caller told deputies about a petty theft in the 900 block of Avenida Pico. The caller said a male employee had tried to steal something and was currently detained. Deputies arrived and arrested the 22-year-old man. He is currently in custody with no mail amount posted.

Also:

At 4:31 p.m. Sunday Nov. 17, someone eported a suspicious person near the cross streets of Avenida Vaquero and Camino de Los Mares. The caller claimed a man was being aggressive toward passengers on a local bus.

At 10:19 a.m. Monday Nov. 18, someone called the sheriff’s office to report a disturbance in the 100 block of Esplanade. The informant stated two men in the driveway of a neighbor’s home were in a heated physical fight. The caller also said one of the participants was covered in blood.

At 5:21 p.m. Monday Nov. 18, deputies received a report of a disturbance in the 3000 block of El Camino Real. The caller explained an unknown man was asleep against his front door, preventing the residents from leaving their house. Deputies arrived to assist the sleepy stranger.
