A Thief with a Wicked Headache?

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, an annoying solicitor, two alcohol shoplifters, and a drunk gets caught.

At 8:11 a.m. Thursday Nov. 7, a caller reported a petty theft in the 800 block of El Camino Real. man had stolen a bottle of Ibuprofen from a local store.

At 11:25 a.m. Thursday Nov. 7, a caller told deputies about a suspicious man in the 100 block of Avenida Valencia. A man in a gray T-shirt was going door-to-door selling roofing. At 12:08 p.m., another caller reported the same man in the 200 block of Calle Marina.

At 5:18 p.m. Thursday Nov. 7, someone reported petty theft in the 900 block of Avenida Pico. Two women were putting bottles of alcohol into their purses.

At 8:58 p.m. Friday Nov. 8, someone reported a drunk driver near the cross streets of East Avenida Pico and the I-5 Freeway. Deputies quickly tracked down the vehicle and arrested a 50-year-old woman who is currently in receiving.

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.
