Shorecliffs Teacher Accused of Sex Assault Heads to Trial
In August, Richard Rack is scheduled to face eight counts of sexual misconduct with three girls.

Shorecliffs Middle School teacher Richard John Rack, 51, is scheduled to appear in court for a jury trial Aug. 12 on charges he sexually assaulted three young girls, at least one on campus.
Since Orange County Sheriff's Deputies first arrested Rack in June of last year on initial charges involving two young girls, more victims came forward.

The current list of charges brought by the Orange County District Attorney include oral copulation of a person under 16; five counts of lewd acts of a child of 14 or 15; and two counts of annoying or molesting a child under 18.
Rack remains in custody on $1 million bail in the county's Theo Lacy Facility, according to jail records.
