Son Sent to Juvenile Hall for Allegedly Beating Mom

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a pair of homeless men disturbing the peace, a suspicious pair of handcuffs, and a woman found drunk in public.

At 8:24 a.m. Sunday, deputies received a call from a distressed family in the 100 block of Calle Amistad. A boy was reportedly beating his mother. The boy received medical aid for cuts on his hands after he punched the walls of his home. He was soon sent to juvenile hall.

At 8:57 a.m. Saturday, deputies were notified of a disturbance in the 2300 block of El Camino Real. The caller said two 50-year-old homeless men were in an alley, drinking and excreting on the street. When the informant asked the homeless men to leave, they began to argue.

At 9:11 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported a set of handcuffs chained to the door of her home near the 200 block of Calle Fiesta. The informant claimed she did not know whom they belonged to and could not unlock them.

At 12:58 p.m. Saturday, a 50-year-old woman was reportedly found drunk in public near the cross streets of Avenida Pico and Avenida La Pata. The woman was apparently stumbling and fell several times.

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.
