Stubborn Squatter Gets Arrested

At 8:23 p.m. Friday Oct. 25, an irritated caller told deputies about a trespasser in the 1800 block of El Camino Real. A 25-year-old man was loitering outside the caller's home and refused to leave. At 10:45 p.m., the informant called back and claimed the man had still not left. Deputies arrived and arrested the man. He has since been released from jail.

At 3:48 p.m. Friday Oct. 25, someone reported a disturbance near the cross streets of Camino San Clemente and Via Socorro. Three teenage boys were sitting on a curb and throwing rocks at passing cars.
At 7:19 p.m. Friday Oct. 25, deputies received a report of a suspicious person in the 600 block of Camino de Los Mares. The informant claimed he had seen a man taking objects out of an open Mercedes Benz in the Krikorian theater parking lot. When the possible thief saw the informant, he immediately ran to a brown Dodge minivan and drove away.
At 8:40 p.m. Friday Oct. 25, a caller told deputies about a theft in the 900 block of Avenida Pico. A 25-year-old man had stolen a pack of beer from Wal-Mart and was getting into a Chevy truck. No arrest was made.
