Coffee House Tip Jar Goes Flying

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a group of Christmas ornament-crushing vandals, a probationer is arrested, and a man who can't help himself but wander.

At 7:52 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 24, a confused caller reported a disturbance in the 1000 block of El Camino Real. A man had thrown a tip jar from Zebra House Coffee into a window, and then stormed off to a 7-Eleven.

Also:

At 11:48 p.m. Monday Dec. 23, a caller reported vandalism in the 1500 block of Via Tulipan. A group of teens was caught breaking ornaments. Deputies contacted the parents of the Christmas-vandals.

At 6:24 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 24, a caller asked deputies for assistance in the 600 block of Calle Juarez. A 48-year-old probationer had been detained. Deputies arrived to search the man and arrested him. He is currently in custody with no bail amount posted.

At 4:54 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 24, someone reported a disturbance in the 600 block of Camino de Los Mares. A 29-year-old man was wandering around a local neighborhood and refusing to leave. Deputies arrived and arrested the man, who is currently in custody with no bail amount posted.
