Teenager and Teacher Brawl Outside of Store

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a break-in, theft, and a man harasses customers.

At 2:57 p.m. Friday, a concerned caller told the sheriff’s office about a disturbance in the 200 block of El Camino Real. The caller explained that a physical fight had occurred between a teenager and an older man outside of a local store. A witness had taken a video of the fight for deputies to review. The man, a 57-year-old teacher, was arrested. He has since been released from jail.

At 8:35 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 100 block of Avenida Granada. The informant said a 19-year-old male broke into her house through the window and left drugs on her desk. Deputies arrested the teenager at the house. He was released from jail on Friday.

At 11:22 a.m. Thursday, an informant told the sheriff’s office about a theft in the 100 block of Avenida Presido. The caller told deputies that someone had stolen their golf clubs.

At 9:16 a.m. Friday, an informant called to report a disturbance in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. A man was harassing customers and refusing to leave outside a local store. The 55-year-old man was arrested and is currently in custody with a $20,000 bail amount posted.
