Teens Throw Bleach-Filled Balloons at Cars, Pedestrians

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a drunk teen yells for a friend at midnight, a cell-phone thief, and soccer-playing teens damage cars.

At 9:23 p.m. Saturday Dec. 7, deputies received a call about suspicious people near the cross streets of Calle Vista Torito and Via San Gorgonio. A group of teens in a white SUV was throwing balloons filled with bleach at cars and pedestrians.

Also:

At 12:44 a.m. Saturday Dec. 7, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 100 block of Coronado Lane. The caller said an intoxicated young woman was stumbling on the street and calling out for one of her friends.

At 3:58 p.m. Saturday Dec. 7, someone called deputies to report a petty theft in the 100 block of Avenida Del Mar. The caller said she had left her cell phone on a table at Nick’s Restaurant for a moment. When she came back to the table, the phone was gone.

At 6:48 p.m. Saturday Dec. 7, a caller reported a disturbance near the cross streets of La Ronda and El Portal. A group of teens was playing soccer in the middle of a local street and hitting cars with the ball.

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.
