Thief Sells Stolen Bike on Craigslist, Original Owner Enacts Revenge

At 2:25 p.m. Thursday Jan. 2, deputies received a call about a follow up report near the cross streets of East Avenida Pico and Avenida Presido. The caller had his bike stolen in September 2013. However, he found the thief selling his bike on Craigslist and had arranged to buy it back. Deputies arrived with the caller to the sale and arrested the 24-year-old bike thief. The man has since been released from jail.

At 1 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 1, a caller reported battery in the 200 block of Avenida Del Poniente. The caller said an unknown person who was extremely drunk had punched her husband. Deputies arrived to settle the dispute.
At 1:19 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 1, someone reported a disturbance in the 900 block of Avenida Pico. A drunk man was spitting on objects inside a local store. The man left before deputies could arrive.
At 7:04 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 1, a caller told deputies about a vandalism in the 1100 block of Calle Del Cerro. The caller said someone had vandalized his car. Deputies located the vandal and detained him. No arrest was made.
