Claiming to be Cleaning Crew, Thieves Steal Jewelry Instead

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a loud fight, a suspicious man and a possible car thief.

At 8:49 p.m. Monday, a disturbed caller notified deputies of a burglary near the 1300 block of Altura. The informant claimed her daughter had let a group of people claiming to be a cleaning crew into the house earlier that day. The mother came home only to inform her daughter that there was no cleaning crew scheduled to arrive that day. There were missing objects and jewelry from the house once the “crew” had left, the mom reported.
