Police are on the lookout for a man and woman who walked through an open door and stole a woman's wallet Monday afternoon.
At about 5:45 p.m., a man in his early 30s with black hair, medium build, a baseball cap and baggy clothes walked into a woman's home on the 100 block of Avenida Palizada, said Orange County Sheriff's Lt. Roland Chacon.
He was accompanied by a woman for whom no description was available.
The caller asked the couple what they were doing, and the man claimed to be from a company called OFI, according to the dispatch log.
The resident loudly demanded the two intruders leave, and slammed the door on them. Shortly after, she noticed "personal items" missing from a chair beside the door, Chacon said.
The items included the resident's wallet, according to the dispatch log.
If you have any information on the theft, call 1-855-TIP-OCCS.
