Violent Fights Ensue at Midnight

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, deputies arrest a violent man, a woman is arrested for threatening her boyfriend with a deadly weapon, and a woman is arrested during a loud verbal altercation.

At 12:37 a.m. Sunday Sept. 1, an informant reported a disturbance in the 100 block of El Camino Real. Two men had gotten into a physical fight at a local bar. Deputies arrived after security diffused the altercation.

At 2:37 a.m. Sunday Aug. 1, a concerned caller told deputies about unknown trouble in the 200 block of Terramar. The father of a violent and mentally disabled man had asked the caller to contact deputies to help diffuse a situation. Officers arrived and found the man hiding in the bushes. Authorities arrested the 25-year-old man, who is currently in custody with no bail amount set.

At 3:03 a.m. Sunday Aug. 1, someone called the sheriff’s office to report assault with a deadly weapon in the 100 block of Via Presa. The informant claimed his girlfriend assaulted him. The 36-year-old woman has since been released from jail.

At 3:27 a.m. Sunday Aug. 1, a caller reported a disturbance in the 800 block of Buena Vista. A man and woman were engaged in a loud argument at a residential party. Deputies arrived and arrested a 35-year-old woman. She has since been released from jail.

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.
