Walmart Worker Busted, Rowdy Minors, Drowsy Pancake Customer

Selected reports from the San Clemente police dispatch log over the past few days.

At 12:24 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a loud, out-of-control party on La Ronda. Police detained one suspect, who was taken to juvenile hall.

At 11:36 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. A person in the waiting room of San Clemente Hospital was attempting to force his way into the emergency room to see a patient. The patient's family was also reportedly being disruptive. 

At 4:53 p.m. Friday, police arrested a 26-year-old Walmart employee in the 900 block of Avenida Pico. The employee reportedly took Xanax and passed out in the store. He was on parole and police took him into custody.

At 8:32 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a petty theft in the 500 block of Avenida Pico. A Denny’s manager allegedly took all the money from the safe and cash register.

At 2:43 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 400 block of Monterey Lane. A man in his late 30s with a goatee was wandering in a resident's backyard and appeared to be intoxicated.

At 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 2200 block of El Camino Real. Police detained a man who was intoxicated and screaming at the top of his lungs in an alley behind a hotel.

At 9:14 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 100 block of Alameda Drive. Several minors were heard swearing and being loud on top of a roof in the Cove. The caller said this has been an ongoing problem. 

At 7:39 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 1100 block of Calle Puente. Minors in Max Berg park were seen drinking alcohol, lighting fireworks and breaking glass bottles. Police responded and detained 12 minors. 

At 9:42 a.m. Wednesday, police were called to help keep the peace in the 2800 block of Riachuelo Road. A heated argument between a man and his ex-wife erupted after the woman reportedly took a Nintendo game from the man's son and wouldn't give it back.

At 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 900 block of Avenida Pico. A person was seen falling asleep at a table in International House of Pancakes.
