Caller Spots Two Teens Shoplifting an 18-Pack of Beer

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a child gone missing, a man sells illegal drugs, and a woman arrested.

At 8:34 a.m. Tuesday Oct. 22, someone called the sheriff’s office to report a petty theft in the 800 block of El Camino Real. Two 16-year-old boys had stolen an 18-pack of Corona from a local Rite Aid and were running into an alleyway.

Also:

At 3:40 p.m. Monday Oct. 21, a concerned caller reported a missing child near the cross streets of East Avenida Pico and the I-5 Freeway. The caller claimed that a 4-year-old child was nowhere to be found, and the child was very shy. The informant later called back to report that the child was found and safe.

At 9:13 p.m. Monday Oct. 21, someone reported a suspicious person in the 1000 block of Calle Del Cerro. A man near an older white Mercedes was reportedly selling illegal drugs.

At 1:42 a.m. Tuesday Oct. 22, someone reported a suspicious women near the cross streets of Avenida Las Palmas and Camino De Estrella. Deputies arrived and searched the woman's vehicle. Authorities confiscated illegal drugs and arrested a 31-year-old woman. She is currently in custody with a $102,000 bail set.
