Graffiti, Prowlers and a Pilfered Diamond Ring

The latest crime reports from San Clemente.

At 2:22 p.m. Wednesday, an informant reported a petty theft in the 900 block of Avenida Pico. A woman allegedly shoplifted from a store and was being uncooperative with security. Authorities arrived and arrested the 24-year-old suspect. She has since been released from jail.

Also:

At 2:35 p.m. Monday, an informant told deputies her diamond ring had been stolen from the 1800 block of Vista Marea.

At 5:36 p.m. Monday, someone called the sheriff’s office to report a group of teens spray-painting the wall behind her residence in the 100 block of Avenida Valencia.

At 1:44 a.m. Tuesday, a caller said a man and woman were lurking in her backyard in the 200 block of Avenida De La Grulla.

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.
